INITIAL CONSULTATION

Active Professionals charge a minimum of Canadian $50 plus GST for in person or telephonic limited to ½ hour or $90 per hour plus GST for longer consultation. The consultation fee is transferable toward your retainer fee if you retain our services within 6 weeks to represent your case. The first meeting is necessary to give us a chance to properly assess the specifics of your case. This initial consultation ensures that you avoid paying a non-refundable application-processing fee if you do not meet the criteria established by the authorities. There is no obligation to retain our services until we are both comfortable about working together. When you decide to retain our services, we will draft the retainer agreement in plain and simple language. Both parties will sign the agreement, after they have read and understand it fully. It is our strict policy to have a written retainer agreement for every file we represent from our office.

However, Active Professionals cannot provide any assurance that your information is secure when transmitted through the “Free Assessment Page” as sophisticated computer users may be able to intercept and collect this information. Files are kept in a secure, locked filing cabinet. We use a shredder on a weekly basis to shred all such personal information. You may want to use a factitious name, when using the “Free Assessment Page”. However, all other information such as your e-mail address and the details of your application must be accurate, so we can let you know whether you qualify.

We do not share a client’s personal information to anyone unless client has authorized us in writing. Your information is 100% secure after submitted to Active Professionals.
